What to Expect:

Ortho Molecular Products is seeking an eager, self-motivated and diligent Cost Accountant to join our team.

This full-time salary position is located onsite at our corporate office in Barrington, IL (Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm). This is not a remote position. Periodic travel (e.g. monthly) to our Stevens Point, WI. facility will also be required.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential as the Cost Accountant. This position will frequently monitor item costs and collaborate with our manufacturing facility to control expenditures and produce accurate valuations. Contributions from this valuable team member will help to refine existing processes to meet tomorrow’s needs. The Ortho Accounting department is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical for success.

What You Will Contribute:

• 3 years experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and additional training in Accounting required.
• In depth knowledge of Cost Accounting and inventory reconciliation principles
• Ability to review and analyze data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchase, inventory, and labor.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to switch tasks easily.
• Character traits: diligence, discipline, orderliness, patience and thoroughness.
